Christine was born into a family of artists. She is the eldest of 7 sisters and grew up in Nyirripi, a remote Aboriginal community located 440 km north-west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. She began painting with Warlukurlangu Artist Centre in 2007 and paints her grandparents’ dreaming on her mother’s side. These stories directly relate to her land, its features and the plants and animals that inhabit it, and they have been passed down through generations for many millennia.
To care for the jewellery keep it in the protective packaging and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid spraying with perfume or other sprays and keep out of direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Royalties from this product directly benefit the Aboriginal artist Christine Nakamarra Curtis in her community.
