This colourful cotton bag features artwork by Teddy Jakamarra Gibson from Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation. It makes a beautiful Australian souvenir or a colourful environmental shopping bag for the supermarket.
The artwork/placement may vary from bag to bag so each one is a little bit different!
Established in 1985 Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal-owned by its artists from the remote desert communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi in Central Australia.
The Australian Made Aboriginal Art tote bags include information about the artist and artwork on a swing tag.
The approximate dimensions are:
- Bag 40cm x 40cm
- Base Gusset 16cm
- Handles 60cm
This design "Emu Dreaming" Yankirri Jukurrpa is also available on a tea towel and is one of our best sellers! Teddy Jakamarra Gibson was born in the late 60's in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community located 290km north-west of Alice Springs. Teddy has been painting with Walukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal owned art centre located in Yuendumu, since 2006.
Royalties from this product directly benefit the artist and their community.
