The colourful Christmas tree decoration has been created by Bits of Australia through a collaboration with Australian makers and artists.

The beautiful ornament has been made in Victoria and features stunning Aboriginal artwork by Evelyn Nangala Robertson from the Warlukurlangu Art Centre in Central Australia. The centre is a non-for-profit organisation that is 100% Aboriginal owned by its artists from the remote communities of Yuendumu and Nyirripi.

Evelyn Nangala Robertson was born in 1986 in Alice Springs Hospital, the closest hospital to Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km north-west of Alice Springs in Australia. Evelyn has been painting with Warlukurlangu Artists since 2007. She mainly paints her Grandfather’s Jukurrpa stories, but also her Father’s and her Grandmother’s Jukurrpa, Dreamings which relate directly to her land, its features and the plants and animals that inhabit it.
