Aboriginal art for sale at Bits of Australia.
This vibrant red and orange Indigenous artwork is by Krishana Petrick who currently lives and paints in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km northwest of Alice Springs.
The artwork has been hand painted and is perfect for decorating your home or office, making it a unique addition to any wall.
The artwork depicts the Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dreaming)in Puyurru, west of Yuendumu. In the usually dry creek beds are ‘mulju’ (soakages), or naturally occurring wells. The ‘kirda’ (owners) for this site are Nangala/Nampijinpa women and Jangala/Jampijinpa men. Two Jangala men, rainmakers, sang the rain, unleashing a giant storm. The storm travelled across the country from the east to the west. The water Dreaming built hills, rock formations and lakes.
Bring colour and life to your home or office with this original Aboriginal artwork.
