This is a rare native spice that is versatile and uniquely Australian with its strong coffee, chocolate and hazelnut aroma and flavour.

There are only a small number of edible wattle seed and Aboriginal people used it often when cooking in ovens made in a hole in the ground using hot coals and hot rocks.

This wattleseed is a fine ground, extra dark roast to provide maximum flavour and dispersion in your cooking.

It makes a good caffeine free coffee substitute and the grounds can then be used to flavour ice cream, biscuits, bread and countless other sweet and savoury foods.

Why not use this at home when entertaining international visitors or testing out flavours as you develop your Masterchef skills.
