An Australian made gift that can be worn as a scarf or a shawl.
Wonderfully airy and light, this loose weave shawl looks effortlessly stylish paired with a flowy dress or shirt and jeans. The fringe edge in a matching tonal shade adds to the textural feel.
The scarf has been made at the Waverley Woollen Mill in Launceston, Tasmania. From weaving, right through to cutting and finishing, the products doesn’t leave the mill until it is on the way to us. For 150 years, Waverley Mills has been crafting Australia’s finest textiles at it's historic weaving mill situated on the idyllic banks of Distillery Creek in Launceston. It is the last mill of it's kind in Australia.
This shawl has been made from salvaged yarn from Italy that would have ended up in landfill but instead it has been turned into something magical.
The up cycled scarf has been made from a variety of recycled or reclaimed manmade fibres. Due to the nature of the reclaiming process, all products take on a slightly varied mix depending on the colour variation.
